Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel

And we checked out from JZS at 12PM the next day.  I must admit, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is the hotel that will keep me coming back.  The hotel itself is just amazing, the room is homey and the SPA is the best.  What else can I say 😊

And we ran down to JAN, Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel, the newest hotel or the new member of the Jumeirah Group.  It is located between Madinat Jumeirah and Burj Al Arab.

I know, I know that this is too much hotel tour.  But sometime, we deserve to be happy too.  A little reward for ourselves who works for 50 hours a week, we deserve to pamper ourselves.

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel

So, after fishing in Ajman, and didn't get any fish 😁   I jinx it.

Oh well, on the same day, I got an invitation from a friend to join the weekend-get-away, since we have a long weekend.

We checked in at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray and got an upgrade, how lucky was that and I got my own room.  The room is beautiful and there's a homey feeling, though we didn't stay that much in the room, rather we were enjoying the sun and getting some colors.  We went to Talise SPA as well and for me, the best SPA in town.

This is the view from the JZS balcony.

For the first few hours we stayed in the pool and get some colors and finally decided to go to the beach.  The Palm's concrete walls in my background.

Fishing in Ajman, UAE

To have a chill weekend I joined my colleagues Carlos and Arian for fishing.  We drove to Ajman and it was windy and slightly cold morning.

This photo was taken at Al Hamriya, Open Beach in Ajman.

As we arrived in this place, the fishing area was closed, so we looked for a possible place to fish.

I liked the experience of rough road.

So we ended up in this fishing area near the concrete walls in Ajman.

Unfortunately, we didn't get any fish, I think I am a jinx 😅  I am looking for next week's luck.

Araw ng Kagitingan

The "Death March" after the surrender of Bataan on April 9 was considered one of the major Japanese cruel act.  The prisoners were made to walk to Bataan, a trek of 100 kilometers under the summer heat and with less food and water.

Here is the picture of Emirati traditional cooking of Ligemat and Chebab by badawi.

If you are in the city, please try Ligemat!  It taste so good!  Five-star on point!

Past is past.

I got this image from the "On This Day" in Facebook.  Looking at the date, I can still remember the struggle that I've been.

I finally got a chance to visit the Ripe Market in The Courtyard, Al Quoz yesterday.  Ripe market

Ripe organic is the best place to shop for local organic fruit and vegetables hand-picked daily from UAE farms in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.  This is a perfect place as well to see SME's in town with variety to offer that will blow your mind.  See the images below.  My favorite is the Balsamic Date.

Hub Zero and Green Planet

So today, we went to Hub Zero and Green Planet at the CityWalk2.

Hub Zero is an amusement park for adults and not so adults (pun intended 😏)   I don't have pictures that much, but the experience was awesome, especially if you have the whole CityWalk with your friends.

And in Green Planet, I finally saw a sloth and his name is Liam.

She left Dubai and moved to Singapore, we haven't seen each other for 10 years,

This is my friend Pat and her son, Dude Aviel  😃  We've been friends since 2004.  We hangout, made memories and now, laughing out loud.  We can just shrug it off and say "We've been there, done that."

There's a lot of pictures to show, but this one should be okay for now :)

Cozumel, Mexico, Vacation 2014, Throwback Thursday

In 2014, my friend and I went for a ship cruise (Carnival Dream) in the Caribbean and here's the quick video while in Cozumel, Mexico.  Viva Mexico!

Cozumel is an island in the Caribbean Sea off the eastern coast of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula.

The name Cozumel was derived from the Mayan "Cuzamil" or "Ah Cuzamil Peten" in full, which means the island of swallows (Spanish: Isla de las Golondrinas).
