soba noodle pasta with creamy coconut milk and chicken

Ingredients:
The amount still depend on you.

3 cloves of finely chopped garlic
i don't have baby leaks, so I used spring onions about 4 stems
5 green chili
a handful of string beans
1 red bell pepper
1 1/2 cup of coconut milk

cut the vegies like that.  about an inch.

3 chicken thighs, chopped thinly.
you can use ground chicken, but these thigh's are better as it is more tasty.
marinate it with 2 tbsp of oyster sauce
pinch of salt (just a pinch)
ground black pepper (a pinch also)

saute the vegies and use olive oil.

olive oil, make sure it's hot
chopped garlic (dont make it brown)
add the spring onions immediately
then add the string beans
add the red bell pepper
after minutes, add the coconut milk.  dont pour all, just do it by batch.
if you see that the coconut milk is evaporating, add more.

add the soba noodles in the boiling water (as if you are cooking  spaghetti pasta)

so ba noodles is a traditional buckwheat  and wheat flour noodles with  nutty taste.
it matches soups, stir-fries or salads.

low in fat and no added colours or preservatives

saute the chicken in the separate frying pan.

the vegies and the chicken

when the vegies are done or soft
add the vegies to the chicken and let it simmer

soba noodles are down there and on top are the vegies and chicken
i also added some corriander
added as well some basil (which gives a good smell and added flavor)

No blog updates for almost 2 months.

OMG!  My last post was on August 14, 2011 and that was the only post I did for August.  September is zero, no blog updates at all.

When I started this blog, all I wanted is to have 365 blogs for the year 2011.  I guess, I already failed that.  But I hope its not too late.

August 2011 was a memorable month.  I'm not going to elaborate on this further, but I would say, I love what had happened and what is happening now.  August was also my nephew and Dad's birth month.  I miss them both and I miss my family.

September 2011 was also memorable and full of positiveness.  It is my birth month and 2 of my other siblings.  This was also the month that I realize that I was surrounded by good people/friends.  Thank you God.

October 2011 another month that my family and I celebrates too much of birthdays and festivities.  I wish I was home to celebrate it with them.  I also have a bad experience for this month, but I will not elaborate on that more, as I am looking forward for more positive things and God blessings to come.

So far, this will be my first post after 2 months and my first post for the month of October.

Meantime, I will start to squeezing my brain to post something here :).

blah blah blah of the day

i've been thinking what to publish today.  then, i got a chance to sneak peak my previous post and they were mostly my personal blatherings and the food experiments.  i think, it's time to copy and paste the previous post i have in my old blog (http://blogabug.blogspot.com).  and the first thing to post is something that is informative.  why am i copying it?  i am thinking of removing the old blog and transferring it to this site.  i want to incorporate everything and anything that interest me into one location, and this is the right place.

i got to think as well, that maybe the reason why I dont get a call from employers was because this blog talks about personal stuff.  oh well, this is a personal blog, which incorporates all the things i like and i love.  as you can read in the sub-title of the page, it is all about me and my tiny world.

"geek, nerd, occasional photographer, rockstar wanna-be, food devotee, and serial tinkerer.  loves to blog and not a writer."

You're in love, That's the way It should be, 'Cause I want you to be happy, You're in love, And I know That you're not in love with me, it's enough For me to know That you're in love, Now I'll let you go, 'Cause I know, That you're in love

I love to see people happy.  But it's really hard when it was someone you thought you would spend the rest of your life with, only to find out they were really meant for someone else.  You were only in their life temporarily to help them heal and move on. You just didn't see that at the time.  So you force a smile, wish them the best and tell them you hope everything works out.  At the same time you're dying inside, holding back the tears.

1 kg beef (uncut)

1 piece beef cube

2 tbsp ginger, minced
2 cloves garlic crushed
1 medium-sized onion, minced

3 pieces star anise

1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp ground black pepper

In a pot, put the water and bring to a boil and add the beef and broth cubes.  But if you have pressure cooker you can cook the beef in 30 minutes.

When the meat is tender, remove and cool it down.  Slice it to cubes and set it aside.  Don't throw the stock used for boiling.

Make the ingredients ready.

Saute the garlic, ginger, and onion.

Put-in the sliced meat and saute for about 3 minutes.
Add the soy sauce, beef stock, sugar, star anise and let it simmer for 15 minutes or until the sauce thickens.

Serve with Garlic Fried Rice and soup

I suggest, if you want to try this recipe make sure you have the star anise, as this recipe will never be beef pares without star anise.

I'm sorry.

Patawarin mo 'ko.

Act according to your age, even on facebook

Sometimes the teenagers act more mature than a 30 plus year old.  Just an observation from the facebook walls of those 2 age genre.

Teenagers post in their facebook walls are self expressions and whereabouts.  But with the 30 plus year old, saying “good morning” everyday on their wall is just so immature.

Then the 30 some thing suddenly stop posting the “good morning” greetings when they feel that nobodies commenting on it anymore.  I bet those friends are annoyed replying back to the same shit every day.

30 some thing years old should post some thing relevant, interesting and equivalent to your age.
